A mudra is a yoga position that is designed especially to awaken spiritual energies in the body. Of all mudras, Kechari is one of the most important. It helps direct energy to Agya Chakra. The class will also cover other mudras and bandhas such as Talayaba Kriya, Sambhavi Mudra, Mula Bandha, Uddiyana Bandha, Jalandhara Bandha and Maha Bandha.

We all know the importance of awakening the spinal centers, through an intensification of the flow of energy currents in the spine. It is also important to consider various mudras and bandhas for the stimulation of these currents.

In this class, Pankaj will guide us through Kechari Mudra, Talayaba Kriya, and Sambhavi Mudra.
Kechari Mudra is one of the most important (and most difficult!) mudras, designed to awaken spiritual energies in the body, especially spiritual currents in the brain.

We will also consider various “Bandhs” or “locks”, when we hold a body part in a particular position to help awaken the spinal centers by intensifying the flow of spinal energy through them.
In this class, we’ll explain and practice together: Mula Bandha, Uddiyana Bandha, Jalandhara Bhandha, and Maha Bandha.
