Paramhansa Yogananda started the first How-To-Live school in Ranchi, in 1917. His disciple Swami Kriyananda, inspired by his guru’s example, founded a system of education called Education for Life (EFL), which over the past 40 years has trained hundreds of students in both academic excellence and strength of character. Yogananda’s revolution of education came from his teaching that children should be trained foremost in the tools that bring true happiness, which in turn brings the highest success. EFL schools around the world are a testament to the success of this principle.

In addition to going to an EFL school himself for 9 years, Aryavan McSweeney taught for 4 years at the Living Wisdom High School in Ananda Village, California. He will share of the history of Education for Life, the philosophy behind its success, and some practical tools for applying Yogananda’s expansive teachings with your own children.
